I'm currently enjoying some live-on-air Middelheim jazz, on a cool lonely candle-light summer evening in Ieper. That's a nice atmosphere to write a little message to the Karma Depth fans.
Another 6 months passed by since our last concert in Tournai... a nice evening with too little audience, in a special place, apparently too far away for most of you. Here are some spooky pictures of us. We apologise for being so ugly, and consider wearing light-absorbing masks in the future, to protect photo camera's from further permanent damage.
We'll play a great set with Karma Depth, september 5, 21:40 in Menen, outdoors in front of the pub Dixie - WIELTJESFEESTEN. We'll play both Karma Depth songs, and covers of Transatlantic, Dream Theater and even some non-progressive music, to give the prog-ignorants some time to recover from the overwhelming wow-what-the-hell-was-that feeling. Progressive adepts may spend this moment getting another beer, and talking about the weather.
Other bands performing: 20:30 The Pritty Boyz and 23:20 The Occasional Band. Both of these bands are related to Karma Depth, because Karma Depth members play in it. Up to you to find out who's The Pritty (that's easy), and who occasionally turns into an amazing lead-singer.
Elected Babies is a brand new Karma Depth spin-off: we added 2 even uglier looking guys to our little orchestra, and ended up with an Alice Cooper tribute band! This band goes all the way, musically as well as visually! You wont believe your eyes, check the new guys: take a look at the Elected Babies in action here! Concerts: 19 sept Harelbeke - 27 dec Brugge
See you soon! Dieter

The most recent Karma Depth concert, within 50 km of our home (Rollegem), dates back to 2005! Yes, it was a shock to me as well, when I came to this conclusion, looking at the gigs page. When I think back at that concert, it seems like ages ago. If I remember well, we had this crazy weirdo in the band, shredding the guitar... Yes... And our singer/bass player still had hair and teeth at that time. And our drummer was telling jokes all the time. Well, actually, he still is. Seems like he's the only continuity in the band.
With the Taste of Belgium compilation cd, the promise of playing a concert in Verviers, was like our ultimate dream coming true. However, despite much effort from many, the project didn't really get the attention it deserved. So after that concert, it faded out, and we were a little bit disappointed. We still have some cd's for sale.
But hey, we got lucky: shortly thereafter, we were invited to go back to Verviers, to play at the Prog Resiste Convention! I had visited the convention several times, and I knew that many people would come out, to see the great selection of artists. Indeed, that concert felt quite good: great audience, good atmosphere, happy faces.
But getting to Verviers, it's quite a trip. Many people I hoped to see, didn't show up, which was really too bad for them. But they'd better show up this time: finally, after years of absence, here we are: february 16, Tournai, Doornik. We start at 20h00.
Those who were with us since the very beginning might remember this: a long time ago, we performed in a very little cafe in Kortrijk, we played mostly covers, and a medley of Dream Theater songs. This time, we will be playing our very extended Dream Theater medley; our selection of greatest hits, from almost every Dream Theater album. Win a free cd: be the first to enlist the songs in our medley.
Other bands will be playing with us that evening: Xang and Mind Games. Organised by http://www.tournaiprogevent.com/.
